July 13th, 2026: Inkcaps Turns 3!!

Today is the third anniversary of Inkcaps which means that it's old enough to form complete sentences of substance. And if the walls of this cottage could talk, they would say, "happy birthday to ME!!!" and "THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT!!!"

Seriously though. What started as a way to kill time has grown into a precious part of my life, one that has led to friendship and fun and new hobbies and a hub of creativity. Each time I update my site, I am reminded of how fortunate I am to come this far with it, how my knowledge on coding has grown--and how my site has, too! It's a surreal thing to scroll through it and see all the pages. Even so, it feels like just the beginning in many ways!

A blog post about what I've been up to lately.
Write-ups on my latest cosplay and cons I have attended.
Converting my curios page into a "for you" page, which will function as a hub for things for... you!

To reemphasize what the walls of this cottage said early, I want to give a huge thank you for all the kind comments I have received over the years. It's touching to read how so many have been inspired by my site, truly. Something cool about the small/"indie" web scene is how circular it is. We're constantly inspired by one another; Inkcaps was only built thanks to the brilliance of others, everyone's creativity and enthusiasm driving me to express myself. I'm always excited to see what people, so it makes me so happy to hear that others feel the same about my site. Let's continue to keep coding together!!

Thank you again for the last three years, and here's to many more from here on out!

March 2nd, 2026: New Layout!

As much as I wanted to make a grand diary entry to herald my return to blogging, it hit me that if I don't get this out now then I never will, so here we are. Hi, hello! Happy 2026! In many ways, celebrating the new year in spring feels more satisfying. It represents the renewal of life!

What do you think of the new diary layout? The design was inspired by medievial illuminated manuscripts. Lately I've been enamored with moodier, more gothic aesthetcs, so this is my stab at that. In my files are a few other webpages that align with this style, so here's hoping they're out soon!

My nose has been at the hobby grindstore hard, lately. I'm working on a God Tier Jade Harley cosplay (AKA, Yet Another Homestuck Cosplay) that I'm trying to have finished by the end of the month. Wish me luck!! Here are some progress pictures to tide you over:
