Unicorn

Medium: Cross stitch
Year: 2021(?)
Thoughts: The first cross stitch project I had finished in years! While I still think it's cute, I've improved since initially making this piece. Definitely was thinking of the Last Unicorn when I dyed the cloth, imagining her wandering through a lilac wood, haha!

Stag

Medium: Cross stitch
Year: 2021
Thoughts: Ooohhhh it was love at first pattern, when I saw the stars and moon strung between the stag's antlers. However, now that it's been a few years since making this, I'm torn on the cloth color. The light sage is pretty, but the stars blend in a bit. At least he's still handsome! Btw his name is Fernado

Ribbon Embroidery Bouquet

Medium: Ribbon embroidery
Year: 2021
Thoughts: My first time doing ribbon embroidery! For a long time I had admired ribbon embroidery for its delicacy and whimsy. I also wanted to incorporate into a planned cosplay, so I purchased a kit to practice! It's soooo fun tbh, you can create some amazing textures with ribbon. While I haven't made that costume yet, I'll continue to play around with this medium!

Victorian Mourning Hand

Medium: Cross stitch and embroidery Year: 2022
Thoughts: Victorian memento mori has longed fascinated me so when I saw this pattern on Etsy, I knew I had to make it! The woodblock illustration quality to the hand is super charming to me. The finished piece is quite small and I think it would look adorable in an oval frame, but I haven't found anything I like yet.

Lil' Garden

Medium: Cross stitch
Year: 2022
Thoughts: The first time I saw this cross stitch work design was a finished version hung up in a needlework shop. Because the pattern was wayyyy out of print, the store owner was kind enough to print it up for me! It took me longer than expected to make this tbh, and even longer to frame it. Totally worth it though!!--I love how dainty it is and how it incorporates charms ;u;

Prairie Garden

Medium: Cross stitch
Year: 2024
Designer: The Prairie Schooler
Thoughts: My most recent project and my new baby LMAO. I began this in 2023 before finally finishing it in October 2024. It never meant to take so long but I kept getting tired of working on it. However over the summer, I rediscovered it and resolved to complete it once and for all! Everything about it enchants me: the color scheme, the flower illustrations... the results have me over the moon!
