Wow wow wow this is a dream dress that 1. I never thought I would own, or 2. Considering the current prices for old school? It would cost an arm and a leg. Much to my surprise, neither of these things turned out to be the case! I had included this JSK on a wishlist that I had shared in the old-school lolita Discord server. When someone was selling this while I had been inactive, another person was kind enough to reach out and let me know! That really touched me and I'm still thankful, haha! ;w;

This dress is GORGEOUS in real life. The shirring panel in the front provides both form AND function. Even though the print is simple compared to modern strawberry prints, the illustration has a ton of detail. The ribbon is drawn sooo daintily, and the berries so juicy and ripe. Maybe it's the contrast of the red against the black corduroy (classic old-school move lol), but it reminds me of a Mary Englebreit illustration.

Fruit prints are such a spring/summer-y theme, but the fabric choice makes it perfect for cooler weather. I'm excited to experiment with styling it in that way!
